Ways to Use Evernote on Your phone or Tablet
Definitions.
note, a Note is a single page or document. So when you create New Notes you’re actually creating new pages.
Notebook is a collection of Notes.
Stack is a collection of Notebooks.
Drag & Drop Notes. Evernote supports drag and drop feature so you can easily drag and drop notes or tags or notebooks within Evernote.
Meetings, Use Evernote on your tablet to take quick notes, as well as to record audio. Everything you capture will automatically sync to all the other devices where you have Evernote installed (including your desktop computer!).
Leisure reading. Clip articles you want to read later to your Evernote account.
multi-tasking. tackle your to-do’s — whether personal or professional, is much easier when you can do them while you’re on the go. Premium user, take notebooks offline so you can get work done, even when you’re not connected to the Internet.
Email into Evernote. Evernote lets you email in notes straight from your inbox. It's a great way of powering through a build-up of messages and sending them somewhere else so that your inbox stays neat and tidy. Your personalized Evernote email address will be somewhere inside your account information, depending on which app or interface you're using.
From your email client of choice, choose to forward a message and then enter your unique email address as the recipient. Use @notebook at the end of the subject line to direct the message to a particular notebook.
Merge your notes. merge notes into each other? It's a useful way of consolidating the information you've gathered inside your notebooks and making sure you stay on top of the clutter in your account.
The Merge option appears as soon as you have more than one note selected (Shift+click to select multiple notes). Once your selected entries have been tied together you'll find them separated by clear headings inside the newly created note. If you have a whole series of smaller notes that would look better as one entry inside a notebook.
Turn on two-step verification. two-step verification makes it much harder for someone else to access your account even if they have your username and password.
From the Evernote account settings page on the Web choose Security Summary and then click Enable under the two-step verification heading. You can then use a backup code or an authenticator app in addition to your password to set up Evernote on new devices; if you're a Premium user, you can also opt to have authentication codes sent to your mobile phone via SMS.
Visual to do list. simply snap a new image in one of the mobile apps every time you see a job that needs doing or something you need to remember to get around to.
you can of course attach notes and reminders to your snaps as well, so you can create a fairly complex to do list.
Collect everything with the Web Clipper. The Web Clipper extension lets you attach reminders to notes (handy for time-sensitive pages like hotel bookings and calendar events).
The extension also makes it easier to assign clips to notebooks and highlight pages once you've saved them, and there are a host of options to play around with in the extension settings as well. Different types of clips can be saved, from full pages to simple links.
Digitize your business card collection. photographing all the business cards you've accumulated rather than stuffing them into your wallet.
Once you've snapped a card, the contact details from it are automatically scanned and pulled into Evernote as text and numbers—there's even the option to connect the card to LinkedIn to find even more details. All of the info can be edited if required and the contact information is instantly synced everywhere that you have Evernote installed.
Underscore Tagging. If you don’t want to create lots of tags then you can add an underscore (_) right after a keyword. This way, you will be able to search your notes using that keyword. For example, whenever I add a note related to android, I add the term, android_, somewhere in the note so that I can use the search function to find all the notes that have the keyword “ android_”.
Set Reminders. add reminders to each note. You can either set a specific a due date or a specific time. If you have specified a time then Evernote will show push notifications on your mobile devices and alerts on your PC. If you enter only the due date then Evernote will send you an e-mail alert in the morning when the note is due. Go to Reminders Notification Settings and enable Email Reminders. And they will send you a daily digest of the Reminders when notes are due.
Connect Evernote With Your Other Apps Go to Evernote App Center and you’ll find several apps that you can integrate with your Evernote account. They have categorized the apps based on the supporting platforms – Android, iOS, Windows, Web Apps, Mac – so that you can easily find the apps that you want to connect.
Copy Note Links. you can either Merge notes as one or use Evernote’s Copy Note Links feature. Right-click any note within Evernote and click the “Copy Note Link”. The link is copied to your clipboard and you can paste it in another note.
Share Notes. You can use the Share button or click the “Copy Note URL To Clipboard” to get the public link of the selected note. Now you can give that URL to anyone and they can view the note even if they don’t have an Evernote account.
Encrypt Text. Evernote for Windows and Mac allows you to encrypt sensitive information. So it’s useful to store passwords or other sensitive information. Select the text that you want to encrypt, right-click, and click “Encrypt Selected Text…” option. Now Evernote will ask you to enter a passphrase and an optional Hint (that can help you to remember your passphrase). When you’re done the selected text will be encrypted and you have to enter the passphrase to view

Right-click Images. Rename it, rotate the image clockwise or counterclockwise, or you can open that image in your favorite photo editors in one-click. The saved changes are automatically reflected in your Evernote account.
Hot Keys. define your own shortcut keys to capture screenshot, to copy the selected portion of the screen to Evernote, to paste the contents of your PC’s clipboard to Evernote, to open a New note, or to quickly use the Evernote’s search function. Note that these shortcuts are global shortcut keys so it works even if you’re using another app.
